Sustainable Living Series: Session II

June 9, 2018 from 10:00am to Noon

Yard-to-Table: Organic Gardening

Saturday, June 9 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join COL and farmers, Brett and Molly Muchow, out at Verdant Hollow Farms to learn about creating and managing a vibrant and productive organic vegetable garden, explore permaculture agriculture and how to create a sustainable garden with both conservation and nature in mind.

Verdant Hollow Farms is a 225-acre sustainable farm located in Buchanan, MI. They produce organic crops and provide guests an opportunity to reconnect with nature. You will learn how to maintain a healthy and well-rounded garden, how to intelligently design your garden to minimize the impact on your site and on the surrounding environment. We will get to take a tour of the farm and see how permaculture practices are used and get to meet some of the farm animal residents and see why they are important part to farm life.

Space is limited! Please contact COL at cstruecker@chikamingopenlands.org or call 269-405-1006.

$10 per person, per session. $25 for all three sessions.
