Chikaming Open Lands' Seventh Annual Barn Benefit

Chikaming Open Lands’ Seventh Annual Barn Benefit gathers an influential group of more than 250 Southwest Michigan residents and Chicago second homeowners in support of Chikaming Open Lands’ mission each September. This year, the event will be held at Rick and Nancy Spain's quaint and historic Toad Hollow Farm on Prairie Road

Chikaming Open Lands is dedicated to preserving the uniquely beautiful open spaces of this corner of Southwest Michigan, and educating our community about the diverse, natural character of this area. The annual Barn Benefit raises a significant portion of the annual funding that supports the mission.

Tickets are $120 each for members, or $150 each for nonmembers (this price includes a one-year membership to Chikaming Open Lands).

Important Parking Information!

Red Arrow Highway is closed at Youngren Road for construction. Unfortunately, the designated car detour goes onto Prairie Road, passing right by where the Benefit is being held. Due to the increased traffic on Prairie it is not safe to park along the road, as we had originally intended.

Therefore, designated Barn Benefit parking will be at the Chikaming Township Office, located at 13535 Red Arrow Highway. From there, we have shuttle vans that will take you the 1.2 miles to Toad Hollow Farm. There will be parking attendants at the Township building to help direct you where to park, and where to catch the shuttle. The shuttle will drop you right at the entrance to the event, so it will work very well for those who have mobility issues.

Please allow a little extra time to get to the event, and consider carpooling if possible. And please share this information with your guests and anyone else you know is attending, so we can be sure everyone gets the message!

We recognize that this is a bit inconvenient, but we are confident that it is the best and safest option given the circumstances. We appreciate your understanding.
