Chikaming Open Lands is applying for renewal of accreditation by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance. The program recognizes land conservation organizations that meet national quality standards for protecting natural places and working lands in perpetuity. Chikaming Open Lands was among the first 39 land trusts out of 1,700 in the United States to be accredited when the program was initiated in 2008.

Mingling at Middlebrook!

A COL Benefit for Land Conservation

Janet and Bob Schuttler's Middlebrook Farm proved the perfect setting for COL's Second Annual Benefit on Saturday, September 24, from 5-7 pm. A total of 169 tickets were sold, and the barn was filled to capacity. The cows lined up for a photo shoot, the skies decided to show a little sun, the food and spirits were passed -- it was a great time! We have a lot of people to thank:
