Stewardship Work Day at Covenant Farms
Join us to learn about their forest restoration project and participate in a multi-flora rose pulling. At 10 am on April 14, rain or shine, we will meet at Covenant Farms on Flynn Road to learn about the forest restoration they undertook through an old Department of Natural Resources and Department of Agriculture program that was created to minimize the farm crisis in the 80’s. We will have a 15 minute walk to learn more about this project.
Following the presentation, we will pull, cut and treat multiflora rose near the creek until about 12 noon.
At noon there will be a potluck at the house. Please bring a dish to pass! Also wear pants, long sleeves, and gardening gloves. Contact the office at
